Scholarships & Awards

We are pleased to announce our fall competition for awards supporting study and research in Jewish Studies.
The deadline is Wednesday, October 25, at 5:00 p.m. (Central Time).

To apply for a study or research award, please download the Study/Research Application Form and submit it to the Scholarship Committee at cjsscholarships@cjs.wisc.edu with the required documentation.

Students who are seeking an extension of the deadline in this Fall competition due to extenuating circumstances may email Professor Sunny Yudkoff (yudkoff@wisc.edu), Chair, CJS Scholarship Committee.

Through the generosity of our donors, the Mosse/Weinstein Center offers a number of scholarships, fellowships, and awards for UW–Madison students in Jewish studies. Funding opportunities fall into two categories:

Achievement awards to recognize excellence in scholarship

Awards to support study or research

The latter category includes the Laurence A. Weinstein Distinguished Graduate Fellowship and the Joint Scholarship in African American and Jewish Studies, both of which have their own application processes and deadlines.

To apply, click on the appropriate link(s) above.

For more information about the application process, please e-mail cjsscholarships@cjs.wisc.edu.

Please note that receiving an award may affect your financial aid package. To learn more, contact the UW-Madison Office of Financial Aid at finaid@finaid.wisc.edu.
