Through the generosity of our donors, the Mosse/Weinstein Center offers a number of scholarships, fellowships, and awards for UW–Madison students in Jewish studies. Funding opportunities fall into two categories:
The latter category includes the Laurence A. Weinstein Distinguished Graduate Fellowship, which has its own application process and deadline.
To apply, click on the appropriate link(s) above.

Please note that receiving an award may affect your financial aid package. To learn more, contact the UW-Madison Office of Financial Aid at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our fall competition for awards supporting study and research in Jewish studies has now ended. Please check back soon for information regarding the spring competition.
- To apply for a study or research award, please download the Study/Research Application Form and submit it to the Scholarship Committee at email@example.com with the required documentation.
- Please note that due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the UW has suspended university-sponsored travel until further notice: https://businessservices.wisc.edu/disbursements-money-out/travel/travel-cancellation-extended-indefinitely/. Although CJS will consider applications for travel-related activities in the Fall competition, we will not be able to disburse funds for any travel purposes until the UW has lifted the restrictions.
