We offer a number of achievement awards to recognize excellence in Jewish studies scholarship. Applications for these awards are invited during our Spring scholarship competition.
- To apply for an achievement award, please download the Achievement Application Form and submit it to the Scholarship Committee at cjsscholarships@cjs.wisc.edu with the required documentation.
- We also offer the Lipton Essay Award, which is awarded for a substantial paper on a topic in Jewish Studies. To apply, please download the Lipton Essay Award Application and submit it to the Scholarship Committee at cjsscholarships@cjs.wisc.edu with the required documentation.
In addition, we offer awards supporting study and research in Jewish Studies. You may apply for multiple awards in both categories.

Please note that receiving an award may affect your financial aid package. To learn more, contact the UW-Madison Office of Financial Aid at finaid@finaid.wisc.edu. Scholarship payments are made to students’ tuition accounts or paid via UW payroll, depending on residency status.
