If you need parking near the Discovery Building (where Greenfield will be held), we highly recommend purchasing parking in advance at a UW ramp. Guest parking availability is limited, so if you do not purchase parking ahead of time, we cannot guarantee that parking will be available on the day of. Street parking in the area is limited to 2 hour parking, so it is not a recommended option.
Parking near the Discovery Building needs to be purchased through UW Madison’s Transportation Services department – parking is not handled by the staff at the Discovery Building or CJS staff. For general information about parking on campus, click here. To purchase parking ahead of time near the Discovery Building (highly recommended!), click here and fill out the online form. When submitting the form online, be sure to select or mention that you would like to purchase a permit for Lot 20 or Lot 80. Lot 20 is a ramp on University Ave, directly across the street from the Discovery Building. Lot 80 is an underground ramp beneath Union South, which is directly behind the Discovery Building on Johnson Ave. Please see the map below – the Discovery Building is marked by the red star and the two recommended lots are outlined in red. The form will prompt you to select one preferred lot, but you can note in the “additional comments” box at the end of the form that lot 20 or 80 would be acceptable.
