This conversation will tell the stories of uncovering hidden histories at our two universities. What have we learned? How is public history changing our universities as they open conversations about the past and future?
Riv-Ellen Prell is the Co-Curator of the 2017 exhibition “A Campus Divided: Progressives, Anticommunists, Racism, and Antisemitism at the University of Minnesota, 1930-1942 (acampusdivided.umn.edu), which sparked a student movement for change.
Kacie Lucchini Butcher is the Director of the UW–Madison Public History Project (publichistoryproject.wisc.edu). The Project’s premiere exhibition Sifting & Reckoning is on view now at the Chazen through December 23, 2022.
